I was holding onto a Target shopping cart around that time and hoping not to careen into a parked car. Dave's building had a power outage and was running on the generator. I'm not a big fan of wind, so I was pretty glad I didn't ride my bike to work today.

I made the decision not to ride to work after I found the chickens plastered up against the east wall of their run...... :-0
We can thank the chinook winds for why there are fewer SUVs in Boulder than LA. High profile vehicles are a liability in high winds. Do they still close down 93 between Boulder and Golden to high profile vehicles on windy days? That's a good argument to cram your stuff into a compact Subaru instead.
BTW, Trout Fishing in America and Middlesex are on my list of fave books, too.
Yes, 93 still gets closed because of the crazy winds. And Dave bikes that way to work. He sometimes can make it there over half an hour faster than he makes it home.
